This listserv announces paid experiences to which undergraduate students and, in some cases, graduate students may apply. The listserv is generated in the BU Center for Undergraduate Research by searches of national databases that showcase such opportunities. These are mostly external opportunities announced by government agencies, private companies, universities, and other groups. All undergraduates are invited to join this listserv because there are opportunities for all majors. Most of the listserv announcements will be for off-campus positions. Many opportunities repeat annually, so yearly notices of opportunities will help students plan for off-campus experiences in their curriculum. Competitive applicants will have the academic background and skills sought in the position. This requires planning for prior internship, research, scholarship, or creative activity experiences with a faculty mentor or through the Professional U program at BU. If you have such experiences, they should be highlighted in the application. The Center for Undergraduate Research in 212 Centennial Hall can assist students with applications.
